So if you see me at showtime looking like hell I was up after midnight ringing a bell Noah Gundersen - Ring A Bell [x] He sat at his desk holding the phone to his ear with his other hand playing with the newton's cradle, frowning slightly at the idea of having to leave a message. It was only just after seven in the morning, he had never been one to waste the day by sleeping through it. Though Carter never picked up his phone but Loki didn't know which was worse, not reaching him or having to listen to his stupid voice on the phone. Maybe he would find out some day but today was not this day. "Hey Carter, this is Loki. Listen I was just calling to remind you I have need of your services on October the," he paused looking back at the calendar on the computer. "On the 29th of October." It was rather kind of him to remind Carter that he'd made that appointment. "Maybe your little miss can come, I mean it's no trouble." The grin across his face when he said that, stopping and staring the balls in the newtons cradle at different intervals as he listened to the 'ticking' for a time. "So I will see you there, don't forget, black tie and all that." "If you've got any trouble just give me a call and we can work things out. But I'll see you then, 6:30 PM. And don't be late." At which he finally hung up the phone leaning back in the high leather chair before he set his phone down. That was one less thing to do really. He finally stood up after a short while, impatient as usual heading out of his office and out into the house, the sprawling empty thing a solidly built stone affair. It's sprawling windows looking down over the grounds of which it sat. The dark wood floors, the glass paneled staircase and white furniture. It was truly something inspiring for a 'bachelor pad.; If something that large could be called that, what with it's five bathrooms and ten car garage. He wasn't about to let anyone forget who he was. That much was for certain. The parities held here in the summer were affairs warranting paramount security. Though really other than the staff normally here no extra security would be needed today, no visitors as far as he knew would be entering his presence. Life as he knew it was simply just going to roll forward. Which meant he was finally going to have time to take apart that engine he'd been meaning to service for the last half of the month. He headed out through the garage, the music following behind him through the speakers embedded in the walls. The slow melodic plunk of a guitar filling the work space before he looked upon the Mauve monstrosity that was his only project for the day. The kit car nearly finished, just a few of the finer things to do with the engine and undercarriage before he finally took it for a road test. An early birthday present for himself from last year he was finally getting around to finishing. Time had not been kind to his schedule, but now the project would be completed. He was at the very least pretty sure he didn't have any meetings, Linda wasn't here yet to remind him as he picked up the wrench looking over the engine while puffing out his cheeks before getting to work sliding under the car on the creeper and rolling himself under the car.
