PERSONALITY:
Lindsey isn't exactly the person she was raised to be, her white debutante ball gowns now replaced with leather jackets and jeans-though she had been known to wear a dress from time to time. She's more comfortable sitting at a bar drinking a beer in a jersey while watching a football game than she is basically anywhere else. Despite being "one of the boys" when it comes to simple matters like sports she isn't seen the same way while at work. In the field she is seen as the newbie, the youngest member, and the only girl on the team and though angels are well beyond sexism they can't help but treat her like a fragile being. When situations seem dangerous she is usually the first to jump on board and always the first to be told to sit back. The infuriates her to no end and causes her temper to rise. She is full of snark and wit, loves poking fun at her team members and can take it back just the same. She is calm, cool, and collected most of the time but put her in a dangerous situation she has a take charge attitude. At the end of long work days she can often be found at the nearest gun range, using her remaining energy to practice her aim since it is vastly important for both her weapons.

HISTORY:
ALIAS: ShellLindsey was the daughter of two angels that picked the worst possible moment to have a child. They were on the run from a pack of demons when she was born and were given no choice but to leave her in the care of someone. Cue the entrance of Carolyn and John Shay, the barren and childless human couple that her biological parents knew and entrusted the safety of their daughter with. She knew very little of her angel parents growing up but the Shay's didn't keep it a secret from her either. For as long as she could remember they told her what exactly she was and that one day the angels would come for her again. They never did and the story was hardly brought up again. John and Carolyn were her parents, they loved her like she was their own and she loved them just the same.
Lindsey grew up on the streets of Seattle. She lived a pretty standard life, despite her special abilities and the fact that she didn't really need a formal education she went to school like any other child would. She played the part too, but of course with straight A's. She didn't have many friends but no one dared to bully her either after one incident when she was ten that left a rude thirteen year old with a broken nose and a twisted ankle. She didn't even really touch the kid, just skillfully dodged him so he ended up face first in a rock. From that day forward no one went near her, and recess and lunch time were lonely when you had no one to talk to but she managed.
By the time she was fifteen in mortal standards, she suffered from depression. People dodged her in the hallways and refused to sit by her in class. Her grades dropped and she started skipping school. She started to drink and when the only people that would accept her were the addicts she got involved in drugs along with them.
Carolyn and John were at their wits end and they pulled her out of school when she was 17 and moved across the country to the town of Bangor, Maine. She was put into rehab and once she was out John started homeschooling her. She was on the right track at last and the couple could finally rest at ease. For nearly three years Lindsey took a drug test every other day and knowing her parents didn't trust her drove her so insane that she moved out as soon as she got the chance.
She picked up life again in Tallahassee, Florida. With a lot of work she attended a community college, straight A's earned her an AA in psychology. From there she attended a state university and got a bachelors in Criminal Justice. She was in law school when her biological father showed up in her life briefly. He explained that her mother had died and wanted to make sure her only child was given her greatest treasure. Frederick handed over a locket and after a confused look from Lindsey he explained what it really was. He had given her her biological mother's Divine Weapon, meant to keep her safe now. Ever since them the locket, which turned into a pistol when she needed a weapon against Demons, has never come off.
Halfway through law school, Linds decided it wasn't for her. She enrolled in the local police academy and joined the force upon completion. She climbed the ranks to detective and worked with many units when cases crossed over into other states. About two years ago she was contacted by a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was an Angel like her, and he was building members of his team up so that he could use government resources to locate Angels that had gone missing. She agreed in a heart beat and moved to Washington D.C. immediately. With several missing angel cases under her belt she's been sent to New Orleans to find one very important Angel, the Arch Angel Michael, a job she takes very seriously. She's prepared to do whatever it takes to find and free the unofficial leader of the Angel's.
