Adelina stepped into a mildly busy place. Quite a few heads turned when the blond woman stepped toward the counter. She held herself in a calm and polite way. Her head nodded to a few people who gave her side-long glances. Her lips quirked into a soft smile as she ordered a chicken, lettuce, swiss cheese and turkey sandwich. Her bright blue eyes blinked as she took up the slightly toasted sandwich before heading to a seat near a window that over looked the street. Her blue eyes wandered as she enjoyed the warm sun against her skin. Her gazed stared at the ceiling as she lightly gripped the sandwich. Her blue eyes opened as she heard someone walk in. The young woman blinked as she saw a handsome and young looking man. Her eyes followed him with interest as she silently sat there. She noticed his handsome features and his well defined body. Still, something is telling her to leave at once. Her curiousness kept her sitting there as her instincts tugged at her to leave as soon as she can. Adelina bit her lip as she kept her kind eyes on the figure of the man. She felt that he has some sort of evil presence, that is why her heart beat went faster and her instincts told her to leave the cafe. Still, the mortal stayed brave and calm as she kept her blue eyes glued on the man's form.

LYRICS ONE LINE TWO Luc loved the bustling streets of Los Angeles. How could he not? It was the home of fame and glory. As the very soul of Pride, the Demon Lord was no stranger to the Hollywood scene. He starred in things here and there and even had a production company for plays. He also owned a number of theaters. Anything that kept people from forgetting who he was and he was probably the most famous Demon Lord in the world. He adored the limelight and fed off it like it was bread. So of course he noticed whenever eyes turned to him. So of course he immediately became aware the moment a little human took notice of him as he walked into the little cafe.
He pretended to ignore her as he made his way over to the counter. He ordered a black coffee and a spicy chicken panini. It was only after he received his order and turned to leave that he finally met her gaze. He flashed her a devilish smile as he headed out to sit at one of the tables outside the shop. He ate and sipped his coffee as he waited to see what would happen. Humans were always amusing to play with. While some were smart enough not to bite the bait, many let curiosity and those sinful emotions like pride overrule their better judgment. Lucky for the girl, he was in a good mood and didn't feel like doling out too much havoc. He simply wanted to have a little fun.

Adelina saw his look that he gave her before biting her lip. She looked outside for a second to unhook her gaze from his own. Her ears caught the noise of him walking out. The door opened and closed. He was outside and sitting at a table. Her blue eyes studied him before collecting her drink and food. The young woman then exited the building and looked at the handsome and dark stranger. She politely nodded a greeting as she found another seat and table close enough for him to hear her. "Good afternoon, Sir. I was wondering if you want some company. Or at least someone to talk to." She said softly and calmly. Her heart thrummed in her chest. Her hand took the sandwich and bit into it before setting it on the table with its wrapping to keep it safe. Her blue eyes blinked at the man. "I am Adelina or Addie. I just felt some interest in talking to you, since I have nothing else to do. If you want me gone, just say so... and I will leave. I don't want to be a burden to someone." She said in a neutral voice. Her thoughts and instincts tried to war with each other to sit there or run. Adelina then moved from hair from her face that is pretty much angelic, even though she is not an angel. The human sat there with confidence as she looked at the man who has a definite evil feeling around him. Something dark and dangerous, much like a snake ready to snap. Addie gave him a calm and slightly shaky smile to show that she is here on a friendly note. She did not want to see how bad this man is as she sat there at a table that is at his right side.

A PHANTOM IN A BOX SHADOW IN YOUR HEAD Like the rest of his brethren, Luc found humans only good to toy with. However, he didn't necessarily have the desire to use his magik to influence them. They were much more fun to manipulate without the easy way out. That being said, he never could find them boring in any way shape or form. Well that was true most days. He kept his eyes on the street and the random passersby until the girl from inside the cafe finally chose to join him and even address him. His eyes flicked up to her and he offered a deceptively warm smile.
“Go right ahead,” he said gesturing to the seat across him at his table. “I do enjoy company.”
He watched the mental battle play across her eyes as she introduced herself. It was subtle variations in the light in a gaze that most people missed. Lucifer was old and perception grew with age. He learned a long time how to spot the subtle hints to a human's uncertainties. That more than anything else was what he found most amusing. Unknown to her, however, he was much worse than a snake. He was more methodical and far more patient.
“You may call me Luc,” he said smoothly.
It was easy to see the innocence in her. She wore it like body armor. That alone made him want to gag. He managed to stifle his disgust. He didn't think an Arch took claim to her. She was just to naive and sweet for her own good. That was why he was giving her the time of day anyway. See if she was worth his time and how best to deal her.

Adelina saw the gesture to join him and nodded. Her blue eyes blinked as she moved to sit across of Luc. Her blue gaze blinked calmly as she crossed her right leg over her left as she sat on the chair. Her blond hair shined in the bright afternoon sun as she gripped the sandwich in a hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Luc." She politely bowed her head to the man who sat across from her. Still, she fought to not run from the handsome man, since he hasn't done anything to get her scared or worried. Her hands still gripped the food as she sat there on the chair. She took another bite into the sandwich before sighing. "How are you on this fine afternoon, Luc?" She asked in a soft and kind voice as she stayed in a neutral personality. "I personally think it is quite nice. I am tired of the windy weather we had the past few days. This sunny day is giving a breathe of fresh air, finally." Addie smiled after she swallowed her mouthful of sandwich. Her blue eyes gazed at the man with a friendly smile. She hoped it as a good way to start small talk. Addie sighed at herself as she tried to be friendly toward the stranger, even though her instincts told her to just jump up, excuse herself and leave. Her blue eyes gazed at the handsome man's face. She felt drawn toward him, ever so slightly, but she felt more drawn toward Gabriel or Gabe. She loves that handsome man, more than anyone else she has met.

A PHANTOM IN A BOX SHADOW IN YOUR HEAD Luc refrained from rolling his eyes at the girl's boring prattle. Being the very personification of pride, the ancient demon was a narcissist. Really all he cared about was himself and anyone else was just something to admire him or be used as a source of ridicule if they didn't. He really wasn't the sort to stand by and listen to idle chitchat and pleasantries. It was entirely beneath him. Still, he had to stomach his disdain for at least a little while so he could decide what to do with the human.
“I actually prefer the windy weather,” he said, sipping his coffee again.
His lips twitched in a very brief and subtle smirk as he thought about it. Wind made using his air manipulation far less obvious. Stronger gusts and the more he could do without arousing suspicion from the humans he was messing with. A light breeze or none at all made things far more difficult for him.
“Tell me something,” he said and paused to take a bite of his sandwich. “Do you always approach random strangers to keep them company or am I just an exception?”
He met her gaze as he waited for her response. He wanted to see if she would be honest or lie. At least, humans weren't predictable in this aspect. They seemed to have enough intelligence to think for themselves and make sound decisions. Of course, most of those decisions were stupid but that never seemed to stop them from making their mistakes.
